How this file check works

Is the file uploaded for scanning?

No. Kleaner SafeCheck calculates SHA-256 locally and opens a VirusTotal search for the fingerprint. It does not send the file to Kleaner or automatically submit it to VirusTotal.

Does a clean report guarantee the file is safe?

No. A report reflects detections available at that time. New, targeted, or evasive malware may not be detected, and legitimate files can be flagged incorrectly. Use trusted download sources and keep real-time protection enabled.
